The fourth man in the fire

It is given, it is sure, I will never walk alone.

Up and down life’s long winding road,

In and out of the streets and corners of daily living,

Out and about the mounts and vales of my unfolding story,

I walk not alone.

I am confident because I met the great I AM

I AM says, ‘by Him, through Him and for Him I was made’

How then can I walk alone?

I carry His genes, embody His glory, evidence His blueprint for life,

Heaven is mandated to watch over me.

No matter the season, no matter the time, no matter the place, the great I AM is with me.

In the fire, it is not just me, myself and I; He is the fourth man inside.

So in this fire I walk, convinced I shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch me

When the enemy comes in like a flood, He lifts up a standard against him.

So I pass through the waters and He is with me,the rivers shall not overflow me.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil.

He is with me.

The fourth man in the fire is my strength, my personal bravery, my invincible army

With Him, I always win.

He makes my feet like hind’s feet; steady, strong, full of grip

With Him I do not stand still in terror but walk fearlessly on my high hills.

My mountain mover, my planet shaker, my giant slayer

He always makes a way for me.

Behold the handmaid!

Your will not mine is this handmaid’s song,

No higher calling, no greater honor than to be wholly deposed to you.

A life surrendered, heart given, spirit yielded, mind overtaken

A destiny overshadowed by you, a body subjected to you,

The refrain in this handmaid’s song; posses me O Lord for in your reins I am free.

Totally, fully, unreservedly, unashamedly yours,

This life belongs to you, let it be a reflection of who you are

This heart; let it resonate to the sound of your own heartbeat

These hands; let them build with you,

These feet; let them walk down your just paths

These lips; let them sing forth the praises of you that calls me by name

This womb; let it birth the fruit of your incorruptible seed

Let the totality of who I am converge to produce you.

Be it  unto me according to your Word, is the echo of this song

Affirming that you take the lead; I follow, gladly so

Lord my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty

Neither do I concern myself with great matters,

Nor with things too profound me

Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul

Like a weaned child with his mother

Like a weaned child is my soul within me

Behold the handmaid of the Lord!

PS; A story of surrender-Jon Jorgenson, he gets it! This is a piece of  worded art, pulsed with LIFE!

Give me eyes

Give me eyes to see the way that you see, give me eyes

It’s your lens I need, my own keeps getting caught in linear dimension

I want to see, I want your ultra dimension sight, that which sees into and sees through

because I know you as the source of the many-sided wisdom; multi-faceted, unmatched, it sees the whole picture.

Give me eyes to see the far that you see, give me eyes

Let your deep call unto my deep, let all your waves and billows go over me

Your riches are unsearchable, your counsel past finding out

Why would I feed on the crust when I can have the whole cake?

Give me the depth of sight, let me see beyond the surface

Give me eyes to see the much that you see, give me eyes

You affirm that ‘in this earthen vessels, lies treasure’, you see gold out of rubble in people

Maybe its your film I need, to create images like you do.

You do not see as man sees, you see the heart

I need your field of vision.

These are the eyes that see life differently;

They saw in dead Lazarus, a man quickened to breathe again. Eyes that see life in death

They envisioned a gold coin in a fish’s mouth out at sea. Eyes that see divine provision in the most unlikely of places.

They saw the children and said ‘let them come to me’. Eyes that see and understand the power of seed.

These eyes saw the cross as a symbol of love, not pain

They saw into the Father’s heart and chose to drink from the cup of suffering, enduring the cross, despising the shame

They saw Gethsemane as the gateway to the redemption of man, not a battleground of sorrow.

These eyes saw life differently.

Give me eyes and I will be a better me

Give me eyes and I will make the world a better place

Give me your eyes I pray!

This is for the lovers, the pursuers, the hungry souls, the hearts longing, for Him that is worth laying down everything for:

“My heart overflows with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King. My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. You are fairer than the sons of men; Grace is poured upon your lips.”

This is for them that find pleasure in gazing upon the beauty of Him that is the bridegroom:

“His eyes like a flame of fire, on His head many crowns.”

This is for those who know Him as the lamb that was slain , yet victorious over death; the lion of the tribe of Judah:

“Gird your sword upon your thigh O Mighty one, with your glory and your majesty. And in your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility and righteousness.”

This is for those who recognize Him as altogether lovely, meek and lowly yet holding the reins of all power and authority in heaven and on earth. Their true satisfaction, the joy of their salvation, in whom all things hold together:

“He is the brightness of the Father’s glory, the express image of His person.”

“He is the living bread, with Him is the fountain of life, in His light we see light, the Bright and Morning star.”

This is for them that know Him as the desire of all nations, the one who was, who is and will always be the center, the one worth running to:

“And the Spirit and the bride say ‘come’

And let him who hears say ‘come’

And let him who thirsts ‘come’

And whoever desires, let him take of the water of life freely.”

This is for them that have raw love for the Son, lovers of Jesus.
